Don't forget: TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER THE FABULOUS FAGE GIVEAWAY http://rebeccastaggs.blogspot.com/2009/11/fabulous-fage-giveaway.html
I woke up this morning and looked everywhere for my abs. Though they aren't quite the 6 pack they used to be, they were still there when I looked for them. I looked in the mirror, I searched high and low, and couldn't find them anywhere!! Instead I found this note:
The nerve!! They were just here, and now they have up and skipped town. True, I may have eaten Red Robin, rum balls, and chips and salsa, but other than that I have been hitting the cardio, lifting, and sticking to clean foods. They acted like I don't care about them at all. What touchy S.O.B's, they are!! The body is a crazy thing...
So, to stick it to them today, after doing an hour of cardio and an killer back and bicep workout, I went to Coldstone. How you like them apples!?
P.S.
STAY AWAY FROM COLDSTONE CREAMERY!! They have pumpkin ice cream which I hear tastes just like pumpkin pie. It's extra tasty if you add Kit Kats in there, as your mix ins...Or so I hear.
P.S.S.
The no-bake rum balls I made for Tim's birthday were off the hook, too. (I'd take a picture but you know, no camera. BOO HOO!)...I kind of like not-so-sweet treats and these rum balls are the PERFECT mix of doughy goodness. OH yeah, and Rum and chocolate. HELLO...
Here is the recipe I used. I have used it many times before, they always turn out great. I like this one because you use a can of evaporated milk instead of corn syrup like most rum balls call for. A couple suggestions on my part:
1) You really only need about half the crushed walnuts they suggest, otherwise you'll have way too much walnut pieces left over. I think they would be better without the walnuts all together, actually.
2) Recipe calls for a 16 oz. box of Nilla wafers. Can't find this size box anymore, it's 12 oz in stores now...so you will want to buy a second box andprocede to 2/3rds of the box and use the other 1/3 box in the recipe.
3) If you want your balls to be doughy, you need to use a blender or food processor. Simply crushing them doesn't work. TRUST ME.

Dear Becky,
Since you have decided to stuff your face full of chocolate rum balls and
unauthorized chips and salsa, we have decided to cash in on some much
needed time off. On loaner, we are leaving you with a soft watery midsection,
which will help keep you warm until our return. We are not sure when we will be
back, but are not going to stick around to watch you gorge on Thanksgiving and
Christmas. More than likely, we will see you in the spring, when you start
acting like you care about us again.
Have a great winter, fatty.
